Class Description

✨ Rope Bowls✨ Discover the art of rope bowl making—a quick, creative, and highly rewarding textile craft that transforms simple cotton cord into beautiful, functional home décor using a standard sewing machine ✨ In this hands-on class, participants will learn how to coil and shape 100% natural cotton clothesline rope while joining the edges with a wide zigzag stitch to create sturdy coasters and bowls. Once you’ve mastered the basics, you’ll explore fabric-wrapping techniques using colourful batik scraps and add a stylish leather tab for a beautiful finishing touch 🌿 Participants will have the opportunity to learn: - Rope bowl construction techniques - How to shape and build coiled projects - Sewing with a wide zigzag stitch - Fabric wrapping techniques using batik scraps ✂️ - Tips for creating smooth curves and clean finishes - Sewing machine and ironing safety - Creative ways to personalize your projects 🧵 📅CLASS DATE: Saturday, July 18 🕓TIME: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm The Rope Bowls class kit includes all materials, tools, and notions required to complete your rope bowl projects —just bring your creativity and excitement to sew! ✨

We’ll also provide tool kits with items like scissors, seam rippers, and rulers for you to use during class. Just a note: these tools stay at the store so they're ready for the next group of makers!
