Our
Story

Welcome to Muskoka Sewing Centre, a family-run sewing shop in Bracebridge offering sewing classes, sewing machine repair, and sewing machine sales across Muskoka. We’re here to help you learn to sew, keep your machine running smoothly, and find the right tools for your projects—all in one place.

Proudly serving Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, and surrounding Muskoka communities.

Sewing used to be a part of everyday life—something shared, taught, and passed down. Today, that skill is becoming less common. We’re here to change that by creating a space where people can learn, build confidence, and enjoy making something with their own hands.

We’re Dave and Linh. In 2021, we moved from the GTA to Muskoka to raise our family and build something meaningful in the community. Muskoka Sewing Centre opened in March 2025 as a place where creativity, learning, and connection come together.

Sewing is part of our family story. David grew up in the industry through his family’s business, Sewlutions in Brampton, where he developed hands-on experience in sewing machine repair, maintenance, and sales. Over the years, we’ve helped thousands of customers keep their machines running and find the right tools for their projects.

Today, our Bracebridge shop offers:

Whether you’re brand new, getting back into sewing, or need a trusted place for sewing machine repair in Muskoka, we’re here to help.

Our goal is simple: to make sewing approachable again—and to build a creative community right here in Muskoka.

Need your machine serviced or ready to learn something new? Explore our sewing classes, shop sewing machines, or drop off your machine anytime for repair and tune-ups—no appointment needed.

Meet the Teacher

Introducing Muskoka Sewing Centre’s Program Manager/Teacher

Lisa Serebrin is inspired by vintage textiles, and is a quilter and stitcher with over thirty years experience working with fibre and fabric. As a former elementary teacher and principal, Lisa started quilting as a need to find a meditative, mindful process to promote positive mental health.

Offering classes to children, youth and adults, she instructs, guides and coaches students on their creative journeys, supporting them in developing skills, techniques and knowledge while finding the joy that comes from creating and making handmade textiles.

Lisa recently graduated from the Fibre Arts Certificate Program at the Haliburton School of Art and Design.
