Sewing Machine
Tune-up/Repair Services
Our sewing machine tune-up and repair service is designed to keep your machine running smoothly and reliably for years to come. Over time, lint, thread, dust, and even broken needles can build up inside your machine, leading to common issues such as tension problems, skipped stitches, or noisy operation. All service fees include a full tune-up and repair of minor issues, with every service—whether a routine tune-up or a more complex repair—receiving a thorough cleaning, proper oiling, and a careful inspection of gears, belts, alignment, and tension.
With over 25 years of industry experience, David, our owner and in-house mechanic, services all brands of sewing, quilting, embroidery machines, and overlock sergers. You’ll always receive an honest assessment, and if a repair isn’t worth doing, he’ll let you know. More complex repairs requiring replacement parts may involve additional fees; if that’s the case, we will always contact you for approval before proceeding. All repair work is backed by a 90-day warranty, so you can sew with confidence knowing your machine is in expert hands.

How to get your machine serviced
Simply bring your machine into the store during our regular hours of operation for drop-off—no appointment required. Our team will check your machine in, review any concerns you’re experiencing, and provide next-step details. Once servicing is complete, we’ll notify you for pickup. Our average turnaround time is 1–2 weeks, and may be longer if special-order parts are required.
Before You Drop Off Your Machine
Please bring the following items with your machine to help us service it efficiently:
☐ Power cord
☐ Foot pedal (if applicable)
☐ Bobbin case
☐ Presser foot you commonly use
☐ Thread you’re currently sewing with (optional, but helpful)
☐ Fabric scrap you’re currently sewing with (optional, but helpful)
Helpful to know:
-
Let us know about any specific issues you’re experiencing (noise, tension problems, skipped stitches, error messages, etc.).
-
If your machine has been dropped or damaged, please mention it at drop-off.
-
Please remove accessories you’d like to keep at home (extra feet, hoops, tools) unless they relate to the issue.
This helps ensure your machine can be properly tested and serviced without delays.
